n.able supplies the University of Leeds school of mechanical
engineering with Altiris Recovery Solution to backup desktop and
laptop PCs.
The University of Leeds school of mechanical engineering has
been a user of the hp autobackup server appliance since 2001.
The software powering the autobackup appliance was developed by
Previo Inc. and later acquired by Altiris in 2002 in the process
being renamed the Altiris Recovery Solution.
Lack of support for Microsoft Windows XP and no
means of upgrading the software inside the autobackup appliance
makes the Altiris Recovery Solution the ideal answer to provide
continuation of the backup service offered to users in the
school of mechanical engineering.
Altiris Recovery Solution now provides the school of
mechanical engineering IT department with a seamless transition
of service onto a platform with future support and
upgradeability of both storage capacity and licensed users.
